Artist Bio
Edmund Washington, Also known as Eddy_PRS, is a 34 year old Black man with 8 years of experience of drawing. Art Is both inspiration, and therapy in an environment of constant chaos. He has survived 16 years of a 22 year sentence. Within that time, He created an art class with a couple of his peers. As it stands, Edmund has ambitions of creating a safe environment for children in impoverished communities to cultivate creative minds and help them understand the value in ones self.
Artist Statement
“I’ve been drawing for awhile and I'm still learning. As it stands, I choose to play with mixed media. It's fun dabbling in both precision of pencil or colored pencils and making it stand out amongst the mess and chaos of charcoal, pastel or painting with my fingers. It's Liberating.”
